Included Markers
5 markersThis panel screens for Hepatitis A, B, and C with a single blood draw. It includes markers for current infection, past exposure, and immunity status, providing a focused overview of your hepatitis health.
Why this test?
Hepatitis infections can affect the liver and may be present for extended periods without noticeable symptoms. This panel covers all three common types and includes immunity markers for Hepatitis B, which may be relevant for those who have been vaccinated or had a previous infection.
Who is this test for?
This test may be relevant for:
- People who want insight into their hepatitis status
- Those who are unsure about their Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity
- Anyone who has had potential exposure to hepatitis
- People who have traveled to regions where hepatitis is more common
What is tested?
This panel includes the following markers:
- Anti-HAV (Hepatitis A Antibody)
- HBsAg (Hepatitis B Surface Antigen)
- Anti-HBc (Hepatitis B Core Antibody)
- Anti-HBs (Hepatitis B Immunity)
- Anti-HCV (Hepatitis C Antibody)
What can this test tell you?
The markers in this panel provide different types of information:
- Anti-HAV: may indicate past Hepatitis A infection or vaccination
- HBsAg: if positive, may suggest a current Hepatitis B infection
- Anti-HBc: may indicate past or ongoing exposure to Hepatitis B
- Anti-HBs: may indicate immunity to Hepatitis B
- Anti-HCV: may indicate exposure to Hepatitis C
A healthcare provider can help interpret the combination of results in context.
How is the sample collected?
A blood draw is taken at a certified sample point. The procedure is straightforward and handled discreetly by trained professionals.
When is this test useful?
This panel may be considered:
- When there has been potential exposure to hepatitis
- To check Hepatitis B immunity status after vaccination
- Before or after travel to areas where hepatitis is more prevalent
- As a focused liver-health screening
What do the results mean?
Each marker is reported as reactive or non-reactive. Depending on the marker, reactive results may indicate a current infection, past exposure, or immunity. Non-reactive results may indicate that no sign of infection or antibody was found at the time of testing.
The combination of results across all markers is best reviewed with a healthcare provider for a clear interpretation.
Preparation
No specific preparation is needed. Keep in mind that window periods apply: Hepatitis B may take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to become detectable, and Hepatitis C approximately 8 to 12 weeks after potential exposure.
What happens after the results?
Your results are made available securely through your personal account. The report provides a clear overview per marker. If any result requires follow-up, a healthcare provider can help determine appropriate next steps.

What We Test
This test includes 5 biomarkers to give you a comprehensive health picture.
An Anti-HAV test detects antibodies against the hepatitis A virus in your blood. A positive result may indicate a past infection or successful vaccination, suggesting immunity against hepatitis A.
Learn moreAn Anti-HBs test measures antibodies against the hepatitis B surface antigen in your blood. A positive result typically indicates immunity to hepatitis B, either from a past infection or successful vaccination.
Learn moreA Hepatitis C Antibody (anti-HCV) test detects antibodies produced by the immune system in response to the hepatitis C virus. A positive result indicates exposure to the virus but does not distinguish between a current or past infection. Further testing is needed for confirmation.
Learn moreA Hepatitis B Core Antibody (anti-HBc) test detects antibodies produced in response to the core antigen of the hepatitis B virus. A positive result may indicate a current, past, or resolved hepatitis B infection and should be interpreted alongside other hepatitis B markers.
Learn moreA Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) test detects the presence of HBsAg in your blood, which is one of the earliest indicators of a hepatitis B infection. A positive result may indicate an active hepatitis B infection and should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
Learn moreAnti-HAV (Hepatitis A Antibody)
SerologyAn Anti-HAV test detects antibodies against the hepatitis A virus in your blood. A positive result may indicate a past infection or successful vaccination, suggesting immunity against hepatitis A.
Knowing your hepatitis A antibody status helps determine whether you are immune to the virus. This information is valuable for travel planning to regions where hepatitis A is common, for assessing vaccination needs, and for understanding your overall immune protection. Consult a healthcare professional for interpretation of your results.
Anti-HBs (Hepatitis B Immunity)
SerologyAn Anti-HBs test measures antibodies against the hepatitis B surface antigen in your blood. A positive result typically indicates immunity to hepatitis B, either from a past infection or successful vaccination.
Hepatitis B can lead to chronic liver disease if not managed appropriately. Verifying your Anti-HBs status helps confirm whether you are protected against the virus. This is important for healthcare workers, individuals with potential exposure, and anyone wanting to confirm their vaccination response. Consult a healthcare professional for interpretation.
Hepatitis C Antibody
SerologyA Hepatitis C Antibody (anti-HCV) test detects antibodies produced by the immune system in response to the hepatitis C virus. A positive result indicates exposure to the virus but does not distinguish between a current or past infection. Further testing is needed for confirmation.
Hepatitis C is a viral infection that can cause chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer if left untreated. Many people with hepatitis C are unaware of their infection because symptoms may not appear for years. Early detection through antibody screening enables timely referral for confirmatory testing and, if needed, effective antiviral treatment.
Hepatitis B Core Antibody
SerologyA Hepatitis B Core Antibody (anti-HBc) test detects antibodies produced in response to the core antigen of the hepatitis B virus. A positive result may indicate a current, past, or resolved hepatitis B infection and should be interpreted alongside other hepatitis B markers.
Anti-HBc is an important marker for determining hepatitis B exposure. It can help distinguish between individuals who have been vaccinated (anti-HBc negative) and those who have been infected (anti-HBc positive). Combined with other hepatitis B markers such as HBsAg and anti-HBs, it supports a comprehensive assessment of hepatitis B status.
Hepatitis B Surface Antigen
SerologyA Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) test detects the presence of HBsAg in your blood, which is one of the earliest indicators of a hepatitis B infection. A positive result may indicate an active hepatitis B infection and should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
HBsAg is the hallmark marker for identifying active hepatitis B infection. A positive result persisting for more than six months may indicate chronic hepatitis B, which can lead to liver damage, cirrhosis, or liver cancer if left unmanaged. Early detection supports timely medical intervention and helps prevent transmission to others.
